ArtiCAD now uses Sentinel HASP security instead of SuperPro dongles, and no longer ships out SuperPro dongles to customers. However, part of the migration strategy from SuperPro to HASP means that ArtiCAD continues to be compatible with existing SuperPro keys.

The ArtiCAD SuperPro dongle is a security device that needs to be inserted into your computer’s USB port to enable the ArtiCAD system to operate. Without a dongle present, your system will not open.
The SuperPro has a built-in timer on it. Should the dongle be lost in the post, the timer will expire and render the dongle useless. You will be reminded daily that your dongle is due to expire and how long you have left. Please contact the Customer Care team who will be happy to assist you. In order to work, the dongle needs specific ‘Drivers’ (a program) to be installed on your computer. These are referred to as the Sentinel Drivers and can be loaded from your ArtiCAD installation CD. From time to time we may issue updated Sentinel drivers. Sometimes these coincide with new version releases.
To install the sentinel driver, please select "NOW INSTALL Dongle driver" from the Installation Selector Menu. This is covered in more detail in First Time Installation.
